Potential Movements
Key Accountabilities
  • Apply deep understanding of the safety and security threats, hazards and related risks and vulnerabilities in current and emerging environment to provide deep technical expertise and advice to shape future Safety & Security strategies in alignment with Abu Dhabi’s strategic direction.
  • Drive the development and application of innovative & technology-driven frameworks and instruments that monitor and predict the safety, risk and security threats and key trends to identify robust inputs for strategy design.
  • Guide the team to use dynamic threat assessment and produce high quality research and analysis; synthesize diverse data and viewpoints to develop possible scenarios and options to explore Safety & Security strategy alternatives and provide recommendations based on cost / benefit analysis and wider implications.
  • Guide the team to develop models that allow evaluation of strategy options; provide technical leadership to the team through coaching and mentorship in the areas of risk mitigation, resilience building and security and safety response.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams from Policy Lab, Future Foresight and other departments in ADEO and related entities to provide expert advisory related to risk, emergency planning and disaster preparedness and response planning.
  • Provide advisory and influence the development of Safety & Security strategies and actively engage with leaders in ADEO to share strategic viewpoints and thought leadership.
Preferred Experience And Exposure
  • Experience working as a Security and Safety Preparedness Advisory
  • Deep technical knowledge in Security Risk Management, Law & Order, Civil Defense etc..
  • Significant exposure to Public sector strategy and execution is an advantage
  • Experience in public policy design and evaluation
  • Experience dealing with complexity, arbitrating strategy trade-offs and complementarities
