27 Lateral Movements
Key Accountabilities
- Apply deep understanding of the public service landscape and global future of government trends to provide deep technical expertise and advice to shape and transform the future of government in alignment with Abu Dhabi’s strategic direction
- Drive the development and application of innovative & technology-driven frameworks and instruments that monitor and predict the economic trends to identify robust inputs for policy design
- Guide the team to produce high quality economic research and analysis; synthesize diverse data and viewpoints to develop possible scenarios and options to explore policy alternatives and provide recommendations based on cost / benefit analysis and feasibility of implementing emerging Future of Government practices as well as wider implications
- Guide the team to develop models that allow to evaluate the policy options; provide technical leadership to the team through coaching and mentorship in the areas of an agile and future ready public service, championing systems thinking, innovative approaches and technology-based services
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams from Policy Lab, Future Foresight and other departments in ADEO and related entities to provide expert advisory related to future of government and technology integration into work tasks to optimize service delivery and enhance long-term productivity of the government
- Provide advisory and influence the development of Future of Government policies and actively engage with leaders in ADEO to share strategic viewpoints and thought leadership
- Leverage public and private partnerships to promote knowledge sharing and build networks; represent ADEO in international panels to enable knowledge exchange and elevate Abu Dhabi’s position on the world stage
Preferred Experience And Exposure
- Experience working as a Government Transformation Advisor
- Significant exposure to Public sector policy and execution is an advantage
- Experience in public policy design and evaluation
- Experience dealing with complexity, arbitrating strategy and policy trade-offs and complementarities
- Experience working with senior stakeholders to facilitate translation of vision and aspirations into policy directions
