Key Accountabilities
- Establish the future vision and strategy of Abu Dhabi’s digital, technology and data maturity to promote leading digital practices and capabilities that will stimulate Abu Dhabi digital/data ecosystem and deliver AD Smart City plan.
- Act as a trusted advisor and build strategic partnership with leaders of government entities to create shared commitment and enable seamless integration of platforms, systems and data across Abu Dhabi government entities/departments, providing guidance on adoption of emerging technologies, infrastructure and upskilling of capability.
- Formulate roadmap for digitalization and innovation initiatives to drive digital and technology transformation within the government, including establishing the governance framework and providing strategic oversight on roll-out and implementation to accelerate government entities’ digital maturity.
- Develop an ecosystem with public/private sector entities and explore potential partnership and collaborations to drive technology sector growth, including with international counterparts to apply global leading practices to Abu Dhabi’s digital and data transformation.
- Drive decisions on investments in technology and infrastructure that will accelerate the achievement of the future plans and digital priorities across whole of government based on strategic analysis of the future vision
- Oversee and monitor the implementation of AD Smart City plan through dashboards via the command center to realize the value of government’s data assets/insights.
Preferred Experience And Exposure
- Proven working experience as a visionary technology leader who has overseen successful implementation of enterprise/government-wide digital transformation
- Strong public sector expertise to understand user requirements and use cases with knowledge of digital landscape, including leading and emerging technologies
- Broad technical expertise with strong business and commercial acumen to challenge, translate and drive decisions
- Exceptional influencing and collaboration skills across all levels, particularly senior and influential stakeholders.
- Extensive leadership and managerial experience leading a team (including technical staff)
