Key Accountabilities
- Enhance the effectiveness of public policy research contributing to design, planning and executing ethnographically –informed research activities, selecting suitable methodologies to uncover and validate human and government needs to tackle public policy challenges and enable evidence-based policy formulation
- Work in multi-disciplinary teams and external experts to generate insights and support the creation and testing of prototypes in policy delivery environments
- Lead on recording and evaluating how Policy Lab is deploying ethnographic approaches, using lessons learnt to ensure Lab practice delivers excellence
- Develop, and help deliver, the existing Policy Lab training and workshops for policy officials on bringing ethnographic approaches into their work
- Serve as a technical consultant/expert on committees to promote knowledge sharing on Ethnography research related issues and build a network of resources for Abu Dhabi policy creators.
Preferred Experience And Exposure
- Significant experience delivering hands-on social research projects, including evaluations, preferably in a government context
- Experience working with senior stakeholders to influence, advise and create alignment
- Experience working with diverse groups of experts
- Exposure to Public sector policy planning is an advantage
- Experience building capability to apply behavioral science principles
