5 Lateral Movements
Key Accountabilities
- Conduct complex public policy analytics specifically quantitative research such as statistics/data analysis, survey analysis, assembling and processing big data, model building, predictive analytics and data visualization to tackle public policy challenges and enable evidence-based policy formulation
- Develop dashboards for monitoring and visualization purposes, leverage applications of machine learning and artificial intelligence to uncover insights; as well as conduct in-depth studies that may involve predictive elements.
- Manage a data lab and maintain databases to conduct data extraction when required by users; document and resolve data related issues; plan and execute data governance and security measures; plan and execute digitalization related initiatives to enhance the functionality of the data lab
- Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to leverage data insights, design thinking, behavioral insights, quantitative and qualitative research to address and pre-empt policy needs, behavioral implications of policy options and enable evidence-based and user-centric policy formulation
- Engage actively with leaders with ADEO and across government entities to influence and advise use of big data, predictive modeling and other technologies for policy formulation
- Serve as a technical consultant/expert on committees to promote knowledge sharing on use of data science in public policy formulation
Preferred Experience And Exposure
- Master’s of Data Science or Master of Science in Public Policy Analytics
- Experience in econometrics, experimental economics, psychometrics, impact evaluation, qualitative research
- Experience working with senior stakeholders to facilitate framing the context for research for policy options
- Significant exposure to Public sector policy planning is an advantage
