Key Accountabilities
- Applies deep understanding of the healthcare system and public health landscape as well as interrelationship between healthcare expenditure, financing, subsidies and other socio-cultural factors etc.. to provide deep technical expertise and advice to shape future Health & Wellbeing policies in alignment with Abu Dhabi’s strategic direction
- Drive the development and application of innovative & technology-driven frameworks and instruments that monitor and predict the health and wellbeing trends to identify robust inputs for policy design
- Guide the team to produce high quality research and analysis; synthesize diverse data and viewpoints to develop possible scenarios and options explore health and wellbeing policy alternatives and provide recommendations based on cost / benefit analysis and wider implications
- Guide the team to develop models that allow evaluation of policy options; provide technical leadership to the team through coaching and mentorship in the areas longer-term hazards and risks to health at multiple levels and spearhead policies to manage outbreaks, incidents of contamination, pandemic preparedness
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams from Policy Lab, Future Foresight and other departments in ADEO and related entities to provide expert advisory related to implications on public health
- Provide advisory and influence the development of Health & Wellbeing policies and actively engage with leaders in ADEO to share strategic viewpoints and thought leadership
- Leverage public and private partnerships to promote knowledge sharing and build networks; represent ADEO in international panels to enable knowledge exchange and elevate Abu Dhabi’s position on the world stage
Preferred Experience And Exposure
- Experience working as a Health Advisor, Health Strategies Expert or similar role
- Deep technical knowledge in Healthcare or Public Health, health financing and subsidies
- Significant exposure to Public sector policy and execution is an advantage
- Experience in public policy design and evaluation
- Experience dealing with complexity, arbitrating strategy and policy trade-offs and complementarities
